Miranex LIVE-demonstrated their HPC virtual desktops and GPU-accelerated remote desktops showing how AVID Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro can be used in real-time from the cloud with only a basic Internet connection.

Production companies and Editors were astonished by the speed and performance of the super-fast cloud platform, remarking that being able to access such software in remote locations could offer huge benefit. Edward Green, Director of Miranex said “We’re hearing that ordinarily companies have to transport expensive IT equipment to remote sites causing cost and potential damage and cross-country collaboration is very difficult. Using this cloud solution would solve these issues.” Companies seemed excited by the latest technologies available and how they could improve business practices in the media industry.
